A memory that continues in events

Monument to the hero of the Soviet Union Anela Kzhivon.

The monument is located in the village of Nikolaevka, Smolensk region, on the border with the Republic of Belarus (Mogilev region). The monument’s appearance has changed over the years, as has the view around it. The black and white photo dates back to the 80s of the last century.

And it is this place that we must restore to its proper form in April 2026 by placing a memorial plaque next to it, where information from the military fate of Aneli Kzywon will be clarified, as well as a memorial sign in honor of the 1st Polish Division named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko and an alley of birch trees will be planted.
